In the creative staffing world, this is very relevant. You've got to be at the top of your game consistantly. Adjust to the ever evolving space, review portfolios and connect with candidates and clients. Bring value to every connection. Predict trends and be abreast of emerging media.

Remember, there will always be someone gunning to one up you, or knock you down. Your hustle must be on point and you cannot be phased by objections.

This is my favorite time of year. My birthday just passed and now it's starting to feel like the holiday season. Our Christmas tree and holiday decorations are up in the house and snow has fallen. I enjoy when it snows and the grass is covered, bare trees sprinkled with frozen bits of wonderful.

This year, i am going to dust off the Canon AE-1. That's right, actual, 35mm film.

This is the first concept of a brand mark that I've been thinking about developing for myself. It is something i had tattooed a few years back. My version of a skull and crossbones, the crossbones being a symbol of the zodiac sign for Sagittarius.

Today is officially a good day. I have accepted a position with a great company in Soho.

After speaking with a great friend, who also landed a very promising job this week, I have been reminded of how much I have grown in the past few years.

So much hard work goes into building a career and so often, we get caught up in the day to day to really step back and see what we've accomplished and the process of getting there.

Staying positive, and committing to the task at hand is essential to bouncing back from a lay off.

In my next role, I would like to be a part of an organization committed to excellence. I'd like to bring my recruiting and placement expertise to a company and play an integral role in building and maintaining a quality brand.

In addition, I strive to tap more into the marketing and communications interest brewing inside. I have ideas of how a company should brand themselves using social media, their web presence and how they relate to the public. In the last year, I have included marketing to my repertoire. I identified the need to bring a 'voice' to a successful web presence and developed social media campaigns and marketing collateral to connect with creative professionals and clients to develop new relationships and deepen existing ones.

I firmly believe client relations are the key to driving a successful business. A company must be able to connect with their client base in a dynamic social media driven marketplace. Without such a connection, organizations lose opportunities to service their clients and miss a large segment of potential business. It all goes back to customer service.
